OKEAKU 2023: EBONYI APGA FELICITATES WITH THE GOOD PEOPLE OF EZZA EZEKUNA

The All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Ebonyi State Chapter ably led by Hon. Chukwudi Nwankwo heartily felicitates with the good people of Ezza Ezekuna on the annual Okeaku festival for the year 2023.

In the statement signed by the Publicity Secretary, Hon. Nwanchor Chibuike Nwanchor and released to us in Abakaliki Stated that "Oke-Aku is a feast that Ushers in the abundance of food in the Ezza Land, the end of the planting season, as well as the beginning of a new calendar year," Hon. Nwankwo enjoins all sons and daughters of Ezza Ezekuna to use the 2023 annual Oke-Aku celebration as an avenue to propagate peace, goodwill, love, cordiality and unity of purpose for the collective good of Ezza Ezekuna and Ebonyi State at large.

"We appreciate our elders, clergies, traditional rulers, and all the custodians of our culture as well as all the sons and daughters of Ezekuna who have been excelling in their various callings. We also appreciate our dear son, the Ebonyi APGA Guber candidate for the 2023 election, Prof. Bernard Ifeanyi Odoh. The House of Representative Member for Ezza North/Ishielu Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Joseph Nwobasi. The Ebonyi State House of Assembly member for Ezza North East Constituency, Hon. Kelvin Okeh, and other political leaders from federal through state to local government levels whose leadership activities have impacted positively on the people and humanity at large. It is our earnest prayer that God will continue to uplift and protect them in their various endeavors," he added.

Ebonyi APGA Spokesman, Hon. Nwanchor @30th birthday Anniversary. Hon. Nwanchor Chibuike Nwanchor hails from Nzashi Ndiagu Echara in Ikwo LGA, Ebonyi. Ebonyi lawmakers threaten speaker with impeachment over gov’s loan request.

Crisis appears to be brewing at the Ebonyi State House of Assembly following the demand by members to impeach the Speaker, Francis Nwifuru, if he refuses to resign. Nwifuru, who is also the governor-elect, has been the Speaker since 2015. A document, titled, ‘Ebonyi Speaker under fire to resign or risk impeachment,’ signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Assembly, Mr Egede Sylvester, and obtained by our correspondent, said the members demanded the immediate resignation of Nwifuru and his deputy, Kingsley Ikoro, or they should face impeachment.
