BREAKING: Tension as INEC directs Resident electoral commissioners to verify data on IREV before issuing certificate of return to Governors elect.

Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has directed Resident Electoral Commissioners (REC) in states and the FCT to ensure comparison with IREV data before issuance of Certified True Copies of form EC8A. With this development, some Governors-elect might not get their certificate of return at the end of the day if the records on the BVAS and I-REV are conflicting.
